Our Bodyguard Training Academy was featured on The Learning Channel (TLC) where we did a 1 hour documentary where we were challenged to train someone in 30 days (manual + hands on training) to compete against a team of veteran bodyguards in live mock scenarios with celebrity judges, all in front of the cameras. Our trainee? Stephanie, a 26 year old female Kindergarten teacher from the Midwest who had never stepped foot in a large city, let alone Los Angeles… the challenge was huge and we took it on full force.

During the 30 days of our extensive training (which included blood, sweat, and tears), we molded her into a professional bodyguard. We taught her firearm tactics, hand to hand combat, formations, advance work, and much more. At the end of the training, Stephanie went up against 4 other career bodyguards in a series of mock scenarios with a celebrity client, Playboy Playmate Brande Roderick. At the end of the show, our trainee, Stephanie, was voted as the most professional and experienced bodyguard out of the bunch by a group of independent judges who had no idea that she had only 30 days of training and experience!

Bodyguard Training International is unlike most bodyguard training schools and academies. At BTI we focus on each student individually as our instructor to student ratio is much smaller than many of our competitors.  6 Day Premier Bodyguard Academy

This is our main public bodyguard academy – which consists of 6 consecutive days at our training center in Southern California. Each day will involve 10-14 hours of training, most of which is hands on in physical training.

Course Objectives

• Day 1 – Principles of Executive Protection and drills
• Day 2 – Hand to Hand combat – formation drills
• Night 2 – Low light simulation drills and movement training
• Day 3 – Mount site training - live fire drills - client escorts
• Night 3 – Team Deployment drills and surveillance
• Day 4 – 30 State CCW permit course and firearms training*
• Day 5 - Live EPS Drills and Final Detail
• Day 6 - Review and graduation (1/2 day)

Course Requirements

• Clean criminal Background
• Eye and ear protection
• Tactical Flashlight - Surefire, Inova, Streamlight, Pelican, etc.
• 50% completion of EPS manual (included with course)
• Valid photo ID, state or gov't issue
• Ablity to perform drills and activities
• Minimum 10 students, no more than 12 per academy.
• Tuition paid in full 1 week prior to course, deposit insures enrollment

This course is all inclusive from training to lodging and meals, we cover it all - lunch and dinner daily, hotel accomodations (2 students per room).
Course also includes 30 state CCW permit course* and copy of the EPS 1 Training Manual.
*days of instruction may be swapped according to weather.

Florida & Utah - 30 State CCW Permit

This 4 hour course will allow you to legally carry¹ in the following states with these two permits:

Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming.

1 - Florida CCW Permit applications require proof of prior training or experience, or live-fire range qualification. There is an additional charge of $25.00 for range qualification if needed. Individual State application fees not included.
